Remember Who You Are

Seems like we're on a musical streak.
Saw The Lion King this past Saturday and although I didn't sob my eyes out like I did during Wicked and the movie UP, I did shed a tear or two.
Every time I see the opening of The Lion King I choke up.
I watch it on youtube every so often whenever I need a good cry.
During the musical there was so much to take in that I didn't have time to cry.
There were animals coming down the aisle and birds flying on the balcony.
Most books, stories, movies, musicals send a message out.
The message I always get from The Lion King is the "remember who you are" line that Mufasa says to Simba.
Reminds me of my Dad and the small talks he used to give me about advise, living and even loving.
So I guess The Lion King comes at a good time in my life.
My Dad used to always tell me to try my best and pursue my dreams even if they are difficult to obtain.
Through it all, I will remember who I am, where I came from and who I am achieving my goals for.

Channel 933 Geena The Latina's Blog
Good Morning everyone. I found something online that I thought would be a good Friday blog. It's called:
A Lesson in Life
Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul.
If someone hurts you, betrays you, or breaks you heart, forgive them. For they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to who you open your heart to.
If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, because they are teaching you to love and opening your heart and eyes to things you would have never seen or felt without them.
Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again.
Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen.
Hold your head up because you have every right to.
Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you either.
You can make of your life anything you wish. Create your own life and then go out and live it.
Have a great weekend everyone.
Xoxo- Geena the Latina
