i had the first part of the title of this post as one of my away messages before.
one of my homeboys (who happens to be gay, surprisex2, lol) asked wtf i would have this as an away message.
there are many reason why i heart gay men.

m. watch the same tv shows you do
n. listen to the same music you do
o. listen to you and your talkative ass go on and on about somethings that are not even important
p. sometimes talk as much as you
q. come to you when you need their help
r. talk shit back to you
s. do what you ask them to do
t. are talented and smart
u. laugh at you and with you
v. did i mention eat? well i'll mention it again
w. exercise ... lol ... in their own way
x. will help you move (hundreds or even just a few miles away)
y. know how to cook or pick out good food to eat
z. eat bacon
z. sit on the couch with you for hours
z. play games
z. have cool devices called "the volcano"
z. make you feel at home and give places nicknames
z. drive your car for you when you're too messed up
z. leave the club with you when you get kicked out
z. be respectful towards your own beliefs and traditions even if it is not always concurrent to their own
i had to add like 2347923749 z's cuz i mentioned eatting more than once!
my parents said to give it a year before i decide if i like it up here.
i told them i didnt need a year, i have more than an alphabet full of reasons why the bay feels like home because of the dozen or so friends that i can now call my family of friends.

Bacon Wrapped Life
I feel like my life is wrapped with Bacon.
My pores sweat of Bacon fat.
My tummy is Prego with Bacon.
Bacon is taking over my life.
and you know what else is taking over my life?
My big, green comfy couch.
You know where to find me on a Sunday.
Laying on that couch, either screaming at the Chargers or watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not the only one Wrapped in Bacon.
My friends are too.
You can find them doing the exact same thing.

learning from rejection
\sometimes the person we think is right for us, is all wrong.
it took months of thinking, miles of traveling and moving and loads of laughter to realize that some relationships are meant to JUST be friendships.
i'll admit, i fell for my best friend. it eventually happens in most relationships.
but im glad to say that i've learned from this event.
at first i came out bitter and depressed.
but as i was driving home last night from san diego to the bay i knew that i was at the happiest point in my life, to date.
i wouldn't be where i am today without his rejection.
although that sounds pretty sad and depressing... things turned out absolutely fantastic.
i love living in the bay. i love visiting home. i love hanging out with the peeps up here and in a way, i love being independent.
i love my best friend. the dynamics of our friendship has changed but change is not always bad. we both know what we want in life and even if were not experiencing our daily life together like we used to, he will always be a part of my life.
